Mubasher: The UAE stock markets are expected to see a sideways-to-bullish performance on Thursday, amid a positive outlook for first-half financial results of blue-chip companies, analysts told Mubasher.

The UAE listed banks and real estate stocks started to attract portfolio investors, pushing the markets to rise on Wednesday.

The bourses saw speculations on some stocks amid anticipation of the remaining H1-17 results, capital market analyst Wael Muhaisen told Mubasher.

Muhaisen expressed his optimism on the performance of the bourses in the coming period.

The market still lacks sufficient liquidity, yet it may recover in the coming sessions, according to Wadah Al-Taha, a member of the National Advisory Board of Chartered Institute for Securities &Investments (CISI).

Emaar Properties is expected to continue seeing active trades as investors are awaiting news regarding its initial public offering (IPO), Al-Taha noted.

Dubai’s main index is expected to continue its rise to 3,595 points, according to technical analyst Dayem Sultan.
